Founded in 1978, the East Bay La Raza Lawyers Association (EBLRLA) is the county bar association of Latinx lawyers in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Affiliated with the Hispanic National Bar Association, California La Raza Lawyers Association, and the Minority Bar Coalition of the San Francisco Bay Area, the EBLRLA is dedicated to expanding legal access to the Latinx community, fundraising for the EBLRLA Scholarship Fund, supporting Latinx attorneys with a local professional network, and advocating for increased Latinx representation in the judiciary.
The EBLRLA is a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization. The EBLRLA Scholarship Fund is a non-profit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization with its own separate board of directors.
Policy Against Unlawful Harassment, Discrimination and Retaliation
EBLRLA is committed to an environment free of unlawful harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. In furtherance of this commitment, EBLRLA strictly prohibits all forms of unlawful discrimination and harassment, including: discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, uniform service member and veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, age, protected medical condition, genetic information, disability, or any other category protected by applicable state or federal law. Sexual harassment includes a broad spectrum of conduct including harassment based on sex, gender, gender identity or expression, and sexual orientation. EBLRLA’s policy against unlawful harassment, discrimination, and retaliation applies to all board members, member organizations, volunteers, vendors, suppliers, independent contractors, and others doing business with EBLRLA.
